Short Bio
In the dark days after melodic rock and AOR was lost to the angst of grunge, four guys wanted to write and perform music in the style they loved. After a year the four guys became five and that band became Silent Victory. The legend was born....
.....or perhaps the band have a bit of a sense of humour and aren't really that pretentious?
Having slogged the pub and club circuits mixing covers and original songs for 3 years, the band embarked on the long and at times, painful journey to record their debut album. Lead by the brilliant producer Steve "oops" Cooper, they started the slow part-time process. After a disaster 14 months in lead to the hard drive with all the songs on, being wiped (hence the producer Steve earned his nickname, "oops"), the band knuckled down, determined to make the best record they could. It allowed new material to emerge and find its way on to the recording.
The album was released in July 2010, with a launch party in front of over 200 hardened fans and supporters in Liverpool. Radio play, interviews and rave reviews followed. A 2 page interview in Fireworks magazine really helped to raise the bands profile. Headline gigs at the likes of Manchester Club Academy and support slots to artists such as Karnataka and Little Caesar followed. A huge highlight for the band was playing Hard Rock Hell AOR in 2018, sharing a stage with the like of Skid Row and Night Ranger.
The gigging hiatus that had impacted all bands in 2020 has been a time for SV to change line up, write and record new material. An EP is expected by the year end, with a new album by summer.

2021 promises so much more. See you on the road...somewhere!
